Dillard’s Chophouse

Located at the Westin. I've eaten here and had drinks on several occasions. It's a little pricy as per most chophouses, but the food, drinks, and atmosphere are always superb.

We had a really enjoyable dinner here this evening. The service was great. The restaurant manager was very friendly and professional. We started off with Crab cakes, which were some of the best we’ve ever had. The steak was cooked perfectly and was really good. The ambiance was also really nice. We will definitely be back again.

Had a delicious dinner. The tomahawk pork chop was great and so much food! Hannah knew the menu and had great suggestions. She was super attentive making sure our meal was perfect. And I found a wine from one of my favorite vineyards back home (Victor Hugo)! Never expected to see that so far from home. 10/10 recommend!

After a not so great experience on my first visits, the GM personally invited me and my family back and it was a total 360. Was sat down immediately and had excellent from my waiter named Asha. She made the dinner experience exceptional. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave some excellent recommendations.She was pleasant and very attentive. The food was amazing starting from the bread and house butter. Had the New Orleans bbq shrimp, 16oz Delmonico Steak(was enough for 2), loaded baked potato, onion rings, Asparagus. Everything was perfectly cooked and wait time was not long. I highly recommend this restaurant. Hopefully you can get Asha as server

Update: Editing this post to say we gave Dillard’s another try at the behest of the GM, Jared, and they did not disappoint. Our steaks and sides were cooked to perfection and the service provided by Asha, was second to none. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top notch. Dillard’s will not be a hidden gem for long at this rate. Prior review: We made dinner reservations for 5:00 and were seated promptly, but then commenced to waiting and waiting and waiting. We waited 15 minutes to place our drink orders and another 15-20 minutes for the drinks to arrive and then another 30-45 minutes for our entrees. The entire restaurant seemed overwhelmed. Dozens of people waiting to be seated and most everyone that was seated appeared to be waiting on their entrees. Two of the steaks our party of 4 ordered tasted good, but were not cooked correctly. We ordered them medium rare but they were cooked well done. Our waiter was able to get them comp’d for us so that was appreciated. The sweet potato fries were seasoned well but were a little soggy. The fried green tomatoes were a delicious starter. Our waiter was attentive, but the overall service was very slow. I’d like to give them another chance but for 100pp, I’m not sure I want to take the risk.

My lunch here was perfectly prepared, the service was excellent at the bar, and the restaurant was quiet and clean. The fried green tomatoes were excellent with grilled corn and arugula as garnishes. The fried shrimp was perfectly done and came with thick cut French fries that were delicious. I ordered a half order of each dish and that made a nice lunch. I’d definitely come here again. They have a nice bar with more offerings of a range of spirits than typical bars, too.

Smooth was an excellent server! Our food came out perfect. We started with Benton’s bacon and fried green tomatoes, and both were incredibly creative and well executed dishes. Simple food taken to the next level, with a classy balance of richness and acid. Kudos to the chef! Next, I had the burger and my parents got the ribeye and filet. Everything was delectable, and the steaks were cooked *perfectly* rare. I wish we had gotten pictures of our food, but it was refreshing to just live in the moment and enjoy the comfortable, upscale atmosphere and great service. I did get pictures of dessert though! We had to try both- and we still could not decide which was best. :) I will definitely be coming back here!

Kristen was my server and she was simply amazing. From the minute you walk into the restaurant and are greeted by the young lady at the door to your entire experience at the restaurant, it was simply great. The night before I came to dinner and the service was great. The server recommended the sea bass entree which was amazing. Will definitely be visiting this restaurant when I return to Bama.
